An American AOC can not be bought; however, the company under which the AOC is registered can be purchased and the AOC goes with it. Once the AOC is owned and is operational any US registered aircraft can be put on it providing it meets certain criteria like an approved MIP program, conformity check, approved Director of Maintenance, etc. You would need a Part 121 (general carriage) or a Part 125 ( specialized cargo carriage) to operate. We operate on a Part 125 certificate and might be able to help.
Thanks for your input. We are looking for a European AOC and not an American one. AOC holder must not only be European based but the country but also have bilateral transport agreements with China.
