Capt.Paddy was a good mate and has served the Company superbly for many years.
Comes the time that you have outstayed your welcome (and your salary!?!) and the powers of darkness decide you're a financial liability.
No thought for the past and the contributions made to the strengthening of the Company- no thought for the short period that needs to be covered - no thought for the feelings of a guy just about to retire who just doesn't need this at the moment.
No thought, -as usual, - just kneejerk - "lets get the figures right for the year-end" !
Nothing changes (except the name.)
I can remember 1983/1985 and the trauma and upset then, much of which could have been avoided if someone hadn't been trying to bale himself out and to make a name for himself. Still there, is he ???
