Drain the tank down then fill with set amounts from bowser or measured container on level ground and mark accordingly on the stick until full.
BUT REMEMBER.... Fuel tank qty is total, cockpit placard is usable, you may have 1 gallon indicating in the wing but possibly only half of that is useable, so remember that. Check the aircraft useable and remember to correct your reading when checking the wings..
