Sorry, I missed a couple of posts when the page changed. Am at work so refresh the page every now and then - sometimes I miss the new page

dook has it with Rufisque.

I'm not 100% sure regarding it being called Eknes field as the documents I've found state that Eknes Field was a French Airforce base in existence before the US built the runway, whereas the images I have do show a "new" facility - buildings etc.. I've also found references to a "Mallard Field" also in Senegal on the Natal route (link)- but am not sure where this is.

I wasn't 100% sure if sycamore's guess with "early Dakar" was technically correct, but thought I'd push for a more accurate name/location.
