Interesting item in Private Eye confirming the gaping hole in terms of finance for the rail infastruture to support expansion. Interesting that this is costed at a whopping £15bn.
Unfortunately PE omitted to mention the restructuring of the M25, it's still not clear whose stumping up for that but I would suggest we are looking at another £5bn minimum.
Looks like regional transport will be dining on bread and water for two generations minimum.
