Whilst your average passenger will have no awareness of the finer details of leasing and the legalities, what is not rocket science to comprehend that basically
'the plane is broken and another airline is operating the flight'.
Until the day that aircraft are 100% reliable, technical defects can and will happen, irrespective of how stringent any audits may be that are conducted by the customer airline in a wet leasing scenario.
