No need to use a gas (at least if at altitude)
Have a bypass switch for the pax O2 system to drop, and just openthe outflow valve and depressurise the plane.
Baddies pass out with anyone else, and then plane brought down to 10K.
They should be out long enought to tie up, etc by crew with masks.
