Seems a bit of a dartboard choice of route but I don't know either of the two markets particularly well. If Wizz can make this route profitable, then any route can be profitable..
Aside from perhaps the Albanian coast Georgia is maybe Europe’s last big undiscovered tourism opportunity. It has culture, history, coast and mountains so ticks a lot of boxes. The Government is I believe pushing tourism and trying to make the country more accessible and the range of current routes and new announcements reflect that - plus a couple in there like Heraklion for Georgians going on holiday.
The aim of this flight will be Finnish tourists, and the presence of a non-stop route will draw a larger catchment to Turku than might be the case for other destinations.
