The same technology that you claim makes driving unnecessary makes flying even less necessary. It wasn't my point that "driving is not necessary". I would say that both driving and flying is totally necessary. The point is that the technology exists for us to have emission free driving and emission free power. Therefore if common sense was allowed to prevail, the green movements would focus their attention on eliminating emissions where a solution to do so already exists.
At the same time invest in developing emission free Aviation. Stopping aviation though is ridiculous.
