Blue Wren Winery is a 5-minute walk through vineyards from Mudgee airport; and the Aero Club has a courtesy car so next time you can venture further afield.
Highly recommend breakfast at the Mudgee Brewing Co.
Cooly has a nice little cafe over the other side of the highway.
I am told Old Bar (near Taree) has good hamburgers, but I've never tried it.
Reasonable cafe at Cessnock aerodrome.
Nothing at Scone just yet but Airspeed Aviation has a courtesy car most of the time and 5 or 6 decent cafes in town.
White Cliffs airport is 5 minutes lazy stroll to the pub.... and the publican will probably be the bloke who sells you avgas.
Gunnedah probaby a 10 minute walk into town.
....and Wollongong/Shellharbour/Illawarra/AlbionPark/KiamaNorth/DaptoSouth has a very very good mobile coffee van off the highway at the approach end of RWY 26 with a great view
