HELICOPTER CHIEF PILOT - Full Time

HeliSpirit is seeking a highly motivated individual with demonstrated leadership and management experience to join our team in Kununurra in the role of Chief Pilot. This is a full-time position and the right candidate will have the ability to work in a team environment overseeing up to thirty-five pilots at multiple remote bases across north-west Australia. The right candidate will provide strong safety and compliance leadership and drive a culture of continual improvement.
Kununurra is located in the iconic Kimberley region and the position would suit someone who enjoys the outdoors and is keen to relocate to a spectacular part of Australia.

Attractive remuneration is offered for suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES
Applicants will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:
• Australian CPL(H)
• Australian resident and able to hold and maintain an ASIC
• Ability to obtain and maintain CASA approval as Chief Pilot
• Flight operations management experience corresponding to the role
• Training & checking experience
• Current Class 1 Australian Medical
• 3,000+ hours total helicopter experience
• 500 hours turbine
• 100 hours minimum AS350
• 100 hours minimum B206
• 100 hours minimum R44
• Low Level Rating
• Dangerous Goods Awareness Training
• HUET
• CRM
• First Aid Certificate
• Drivers’ Licence
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite of programs and Air Maestro (or similar flight duty and safety management software)

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience as a Chief Pilot/Check & Training
• Bush experience including confined area landings, low level operations & feral animal control
• Firefighting Experience
• Sling load experience
• Instructor Rating
• R66 endorsement
