We already have the example of the RAAF FA-18 (various models) not doing so well in exercises in SE Asia up against various current Russian built types--- the real world performance of the F 35 will be "interesting".
The RAF problems include the "stealth" coatings blistering off, (the lemon is peeling??) and not because of the "blistering" speed of an F35.
