Pledge a Pint Helicopter Tour of UK -

Hi Everyone,

Dan Mercer, a PPL (H) from Essex is embarking on his PledgeaPint helicopter tour of the UK on Friday 14th June 2019 raising awareness for the urgent need for new blood donors. Departing from Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, Dan will be flying G-WEAT, an R44, clockwise around the UK mainland. He will be landing at key hospitals and blood donor centres, encouraging people to sign up to give blood.
Dan is supported by the English, Welsh and Scottish Blood services, who between them need to find more than five hundred new donors every single day. Pledging couldn't be easier, go to www.pledgeapint.com, and click Pledge and the relevant service will contact you to arrange a convenient appointment.

Giving blood takes about an hour of your time but the actual donation only takes about 10 minutes and you get a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit at the end. Each donation may help up to three people and there is a real feel good factor when you get the text telling you how your blood has been used.

Pilots are by definition, healthy individuals who make excellent donors, providing you do not fly for 48 hours after donating, so Rotorheads please PledgeaPint if you can.

Give up an hour of your time to give someone else the rest of their life!

Please follow Dan on Twitter @PintPledge, Instagram: pledgeapint or Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pledgeapint/ and help him reach as many new donors as possible by sharing the links.

Dan will accompanied by Duncan Bickley from Aeromega Helicopters and you can follow their progress by visiting Track us on the Pledge-a-Pint Tour of Britain | Aeromega Helicopters as the flight is being tracked live using Spidertacks.
