After listening to the RT prior to Concordes arrival, I got the impression most pilots in aircraft due to depart were happy to sit there and wait for her, a Ryanair 737 even repositioned diagonally across the taxiway to give his passengers a view. I must admit when the engines fell silent for the last time I felt a lump in my throat and a shiver down my spine.(and a ringing in my ears) noisy ! or what.
