Did she had an Huawei mobile phone ? It seems that there an high probability of being arrested while transiting Vancouver if you have an Huawei cell phone ... but hang on ... the above event was in Jan/2016, therefore it is probably not related ...

Probably the nicest place I have been before, and I have been in many places throughout the world, but have to agree with Capt Fathom. It is probably wise to "steer clear" of Vancouver, even though I don't use an Huawei cell phone ...
