Check out the days of Trident, 727, 707 etc and see the exhaust and then compare with the 380, 787 350 of today and tell me that the industry has its head in the sand, hasn't progressed. Check out the vehicles on the ramp on many airports, all electric or low carbon emissions. Presumably as a professional aviator who has studied the science of this you could offer an alternative to we luddites.
