To be honest for me it’s not really somewhere I’ve looked at before and only considered it because the option is now there. I hadn’t appreciated what a horrendous journey it is by other options! In that context £260 is reasonable, but I’d say you have to be actively looking to go there. For a weekend away though I can’t justify it, £520 for two would more than pay for a couple of days in a European city all in. If it’s still around next year I would certainly use it for a proper holiday exploring the islands.
I think in context the normal bottom line figure going ex GLA or EDI to SYY is 150 return. Adding the feeder flight on separate tickets to either GLA or EDI even on bucket fare would make no difference and with 267 pounds as a through fare it would be a reasonable assumption unlikely to get much cheaper. Perhaps Barra Is another alternative if you fancy the western islands? Beach landing is a must do...
