Yeah, that last bit is what the test and evaulation phase is for.
Well, that's a key question requiring an answer: Was an FMEA process done specifically for MCAS & if not, why not, or was an earlier FMEA relied upon, & why? An earlier FSB document* did not mention MCAS - I believe that is in the process of changing.
