@2unlimited: Of course freedom vs government control is a capitalism vs socialism issue. Socialism no matter what ideology color (red, green, brown) struggle to control your life according to how the government feel about it, it does not even have to be rooted in reality (like banning rare dogs in Norway that the government thought might be dangerous after a totally different dog killed a child and its race was not banned, not just that 2 dog races were not considered dangerous but they got banned because of their looks.... yes how something looks is enough for the government to decide (socialists are so close to each other no matter the color of their socialism) ).

In a capitalism there is nothing like a crime without a victim. If no person, no persons property, and not the states property is harmed then there is no crime, because how can there be a crime if nothing is harmed and no one suffer any loss ? Its one of the basic fundamentals of the capitalist ideology that makes people free. Really free not just free to do what pleases the government. And of course every government taking away your freedoms will say some nice words about security, the point is that in a fair world only those breaking the laws and harming someone or something go to jail for a real sentence. Because anything else is as I said: Castrating us all because some men are rapists. Its the simplest logical explanation of how a government can take away the freedom of 400 million people because some 1000s do not manage to behave (why are there gun crimes in Mexico and South Africa per capita than in the US when guns are illegal? ). Actually the 2nd amendment in US constitution was made so no politician could take away the freedom from the people, US was created by its founding fathers with the goal to be free unlike Europe.

Regarding flying: Why not let everyone do as they please instead of forcing everyone on one kind of deal and one kind amount of flying. Someone got family and a lot of other stuff to do in life then let them do it, while others want to fly so also let them fly but do not whine afterwards that those who keep flying get better financial results.

As for situation in Ryan Air in Poland what you write is that cabin crew is unhappy that I can understand because they earn to little to benefit from the tax system of self employed. But I have still not seen Polish national pilots protest Ryan Air deal. No one want to lose their salary to tax in exchange for nothing from the state. As for labor directorate they can do what they want until the government change the law for ALL professions nothing will change. And the government will not change the law since it already discarded any change. The only whining people I have seen are those not living in Poland but for example UK.... probably hard to live with it that a Ryan Air captain in Poland will get more netto salary after tax than one working for Ryan Air with for example German tax and base.
