Jenkins, thank you. My literally passing acquaintance with Saiq was almost 50 years ago, when it was just a very rough gravel strip, visited then only (I think) by armed Provosts (piston version) and Beavers. Our only interest in it was being aware that those aircraft might be around.
As dook alludes, 4FS. For the uninitiated, Saiq is on top of the Jebel at around 5000ft, but only a few miles away and very much lower is another strip at Firq. The Sultan's troops on top of the Jebel were resupplied by air from Firq, and there was a suitable necktie for those who had done four Firq-Saiq trips.
