@2unlimited: As for Escobar you know he was kind of wannabe politician and had support of people (helping him hide from the government) who were tricked by him to believe he wanted something good for them so he told them a lot of bull.... like all politicians do, but in reality he would be out of business if politicians legalized worldwide. Because no drug abuser would buy from a cartel for an extreme price if the stuff was legal at the shop.

As for jails its enough with value added tax to finance jails like in Poland and it will not be more people than today..... since today you also have to put drug addicts there in addition to criminal drug addicts so actually there would be less people in jail.

I do not have any dog currently, but its totally not knowing anything about dogs to say a whole race is bred for aggression.... its how the owner teach his dog. And as for what happens when a dog kills an innocent child? Obviously in Norway they ban a lot of other dogs and let the kind that killed the child (husky) be still legal. It makes perfect sense they call it in Norway "take baker instead of the blacksmith"..... IF I will have a dog it will not be one of those "aggressive" as you call them, I like wolfdogs one of the reasons is they look like a wolf, the exact reason Norway as only nation in the world banned them.... not for being aggressive just for the looks (they also banned amstaff because it looks similar to one of the dangerous ones). The point is its amazing to ban dog breeds that did not participate in the accident (there were like extremely few of every banned species in Norway and they were not involved in any biting) that killed a child and started dog breed banning, while not caring to ban the one that actually did.

Regarding smoke there should be some research about how far from others smokers got to be in public space and it should be a law that they have to be so far from non smokers outside to not harm them. As for restaurants or businesses its simple the owner makes the rules and put them outside the building. You do not like the rules you do not use this business (I believe almost all would be non smoker with some few wishing to get only smoker customers). As for parents you know its their children, children are NOT owned by the government but certainly they should be protected from smoke but definitely not in the way Norway does where the state grabs children from parents sometimes for no reason. And the state do not even give them to family but to total strangers its like if the state believed it owned the children, recently there were a child with parents who both were not yet 18 and the grandparents of the child wished to be responsible for it.... but the state just took it and gave away to total strangers for no reason and there will be a case in court. Of course there should be an institution that takes care of children if they are endangered by their parents..... but taking children because the state believes that maybe in the future something can happen or maybe not but they take them just in case.... well there are Norwegian refugees in Poland with their children actually.

What actually "takes the cake" is the Norwegian state taking children who are not Norwegian and giving them away to total strangers while their home nation wish them back and they are nationals of that nation. If the Norwegian state wish children so much why do they not take their own ones but burden Syria and kurds with their children..... or do the state only wish well educated and up brought children from Eastern European parents? I am not surprised whole Eastern Europe even the politicians compare it to the national socialist practice that the state only wish "good children" but they do not want to take their own because there can be problems...... so they leave Syria and the kurds with the task of paying for it. So I would be very careful about allowing the state anywhere nearer the children at home because they can use smoking as a reason to just grab the children even if they are not exposed to smoke.

As for children under 18 getting alcohol.... of course it happens because there is no punishment or a laughable fine for someone over 18 buying alcohol for children. In my opinion buying any alcohol or drugs for children should be punished just as dealing drugs to them is being punished with severe jail sentences. And still there are no alcohol dealers at schools, so there would also be no drug dealers with the proper penal system all the time when the things were legalized for adults. No mafia would care to have child customers with little money knowing that when they become 18 they will no longer buy from them..... there would be no mafia at all because it would not be profitable to produce illegal drugs at all if the drug abusers could buy them at a shop.
