Possible sighting ….
This might
possibly be your grandad - the details fit but treat with a big caution .....
Flt Sgt Stanley Alfred Miller RAFVR, Service No 1389524 on 35 Squadron in 1943.
Awarded Distinguished Flying Medal - London Gazette No 4562 15 Oct 1943
35 Squadron was at Linton-on-Ouse til August 1942 with Halifaxes then moved to Gravely near Huntingdon to become a Pathfinder Squadron, changing to Lancasters in March 1944. A whole squadron website here -

and further here -
Archie - A Pilot in RAF Bomber Command - 35 Squadron
I found additional references to a Sgt SA Miller at RAF Chedburgh in 1942 (perhaps on the heavy operational conversion unit following navigator training) and to a Flt Lieut SA Miller in 1945 – possible career progression, but they may not be the same bloke.
