You should be absolutely fine to go to Dubai. I’m at the same stage as you (stage 3 early May) and we were told during stage 2 that the next available spaces on training courses are Feb/Mar 2020 (although I’m hoping this might change). Also, there’s apparently a bit of a wait for the medical, and I believe they are currently booking medicals for Jul/Aug, but you could presumably request a date in August.
