Couldn't agree more. And did David Attenborough mention it in his recent programme? Whyever not? He is an active member of a population control organisation, so perhaps he was muzzled by someone for this programme.
Nor did we hear anything about carbon trading (whatever that may be, and whether it does any good) or CFC's - whatever happened to them? And has lead free petrol made any obvious difference?
We must be on our guard against current faddism which condemns some particular source of pollution for a while before moving on to something else which catches the eye of the public. Diesel emissions appear to be the current bogey, but we cannot do without more and more movements by diesel because of the ever increasing population.
