Aviation contributes a small overall share of global co2 emissions. If everyone stopped flying entirely and the whole sector were shut down, there would be no noticeable change to global warming.
on top of that, it would now take a month to visit anywhere in Asia or the West coast of North America.
if the same naive, attention-seeking ingrates who are protesting in London hadn't destroyed the nuclear industry with uninformed hysteria, we'd not be in the situation we now find ourselves.
additionally, if we reduce the UK's net carbon emissions to zero by 2025, and reduce our travel options to those available in the 19th century, it would also make no difference to global warming. Do people honestly think the UK's self-destructive virtue signalling would prompt the Chinese or Indians (who together will soon be responsible for the majority of all pollution) to change their ways?
