Charlie,
The original post wasnt meant to be a tease , it was intended to make our industry aware that there is a new heliport in town that will in the long run be the only suitable "commercial helipad"
available in newcastle.
Sure at the moment it is not as convinient as SB'S helipad, however it is only a 5 min drive from the site to the CBD, it has ample room to fit 10+ light to medium helos at any one time, and night and fuelling capabilitys. and has the full blessing of council, the local community and members of parliament alike.
to answer your questions though,
the site is on the southern side of the south arm of the hunter river about 200 m south west of the tourle st bridge, i presume you know it as you seem to know the newcastle area.
Noise test have concluded that we are not limited to any type of machine currently made today.
If you are a private operator or an commercial operator i would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
This has been a long project and im sure you will see the benefits of this facility once operational.
Thankyou for your enquiry though
