Who in there right mind given the choice of flymaybe and say easy or ryan choose them....
It's not that easy at many of the airports that BE serve. From my local airport, FR and EZY don't fly to any of the destinations that BE do, or indeed go anywhere close to them, apart from MXP (BE) and VRN (FR) at a push. Jet2 now also serve BHX-EGC and of course BE have competition on AMS, CDG and DUS. So flying BE from BHX is not actually a choice (as it isn't for pax at most of their other bases), the only 'choice' I have to go TXL (a regular route for me) is BE, take FR from EMA (a 1 hour drive and a service which is now only 2 x weekly, or certainly was when I last looked) or trek to LHR, MAN or BRS.....
I for one hope this route doesn't go but as many are at BHX, I am fearing that BE will eventually mostly forget Europe from BHX and reduce to AMS/CDG plus domestics
