I think we have to be careful of what we read into the data thus far; we really don't know what kind of effort was expended by the FO to move the manual trim wheel. But the possibility of excessive loads is clearly present, and that will be an immediately crucial question. Right now, there is no reason to believe that a similar effect would not occur on the NG, should an old-school runaway stabilizer occur, so the issue is going to need some prompt discussion.
