🙄 One person half-hearing ot half-understanding their radio is not a failing of “the press”. As noted earlier, it’s hard for customers to understand why there are simultaneously cancellations due to staff shortages and also imminent redundancies. (Pretty baffling for employees too I’d imagine.)
It doesn’t help that the airline made such a hash of the E-jet announcement by talking of bases being shut down rather than explaining that it’s a long-term plan to shift less profitable aircraft. On top of that, the management have been virtually invisible amid the current rash of cancellations. Public relations 101.
