Is there a plan for any sort of public transport (ie bus) to anywhere within walking distance of Carlisle airport so as to tie up with flights ?
The only thing I could find was the Border Rambler buses which go between Carlisle and Irthington 3 or 4 times per week (yes, week, not day). The nearest train station is not within walking distance of the airport
I know it's a rural area but it sounds like you either need to live near Carlisle (or know someone who does) or you will have to take a taxi for the 7 miles to Carlisle town centre
