As a mere SEP driver, I tremble to post here.
But after reading this whole thread it seems to me that if an airplane design is modified to the extent that it requires automation to override the pilots' controls without informing them of its actions, that was not a wise modification to make.
As the old saying goes, "Two wrongs don't make a right".
