I had to re-read this a few times and search a few (dozens) articles on Wikipedia (mea culpa!!!), but it was worthwhile. PS One thing I still can't understand. How do you manipulate controls to relieve load on the wing root? I realize that various wing designs give a different wing and wing root loads, but how can control of the already made wing impact it's load factor?
