I shall be your friend for the rest of your days.
When you are gone I shall walk the planks of your grave.
Good on you -
And those you love!

I gladly offer this "Orstrayan" toast to Vertical Freedom, who, like Admiral Tony Draper, became a fine friend connected only by electrons. Steve's knowledge of rotary-winged aircraft, his discerning palate, his breath-taking photography, and his love of his family shone through in every post he made. I have a number of non-aviator friends who, at my recommendation, visited this site with frequency just to see what VF had been up to. Some have asked me if he's had an accident or been kidnapped by an enemy of Nepal. They do not visit this site anymore.

I join gladly any reasonable effort we may make to get this fine fellow back on PPRuNE. After all, he flies "frantic palm trees", has a beautiful bride, an immense photographic talent, an unparalleled sense of humor, and I owe him a beer....

GOOD ONYA, VF!
