Hi everyone,
I have already attended the pre-screening of Emirates Airlines in Bangkok on last Friday (24th Oct.). As i promised, I will tell you about the process that was held here. First of all, the first interviewer called us to find ourselves name in the namelist and write name on the name tag.(There are about 55 people who were invited and the pre-screening in BKK were divide into three round, it took three hours per a round so there should be about 150+ people per day) Then, she called all of us get into the conference room. The two interviewers introduced themselves and told us about the recruitment process. After that, they opened the introduction video of cabin crew training and life style in Dubai. During watching the video, the interviewers called us to make a queue for weight and height measurement. After finished, I noticed the first interviewer classified the application form and the second interviewer looked at the left side application form and marked some symbol on the namelist. When we finished watching the video, the interviewers began to give us the English exam paper and answer sheet. The English exam has two copies, the yellow cover and the orange cover, for me I got the orange one. The first part, there are two short stories and five questions for each story. The second part is the matching the vocabulary from the first part stories and its meaning. The third part is matching the signs and the meaning. The fourth part is reading a letter and answer five questions. And the last part is writing an essay, there are three topic for you but you have to select only one topic and write it .. The topics are "Introduce some attractive places in your country" , "Write a thank you letter to your friends who have just spent holidays with you and write at least two activities that you do altogether", Write a short story include the phrase ".. everything seemed to be going alright until .." The interviewers gave us one hour for doing the exam and they used about 20 minutes to give the points. Then, the elimination process was begun. There are only eight persons from fifty-five who can pass the English exam. Fortunately, I can pass it. After that, the interviewers called us make the group discussion on the topic "If you won a million dollar, please plan a trip to four destinations and give the reason why you want to go there". When discussion began, everyone tried to show their opinion. Everything was going well and everybody seemed to be united but there was one more elimination!!! The interviewers cut four people (included me) off. The four people who stayed, they were appointed to attended the group discussion again on yesterday (25th Oct.). I have heard from my friend who passed it. She said yesterday group discussion the interviewers just selected 5-4 persons per a round to participate in the final interview on this Monday (27th Oct.).(There are about 10-14 people per a round and it had three round for yesterday group discussion) These are all the recruitment process of EK in Bangkok. I hope the one who will join the recruitment process will be successful!! Good Luck!
PS: The interviewers said EK will come to Bangkok for cabin crew recruitment again on December this year
Oh .. I forgot one thing .. I think the two interviewers are so cute and very very kind. I feel that they obviously concern about what the unsuccessful applicants will do after know the result. They said "I hope you won't do anything wrong to your life after you know the result" , they said this sentence many time and encourage us to re-apply again and try to find own mistakes and improve them next time. I feel very impressed the interviewers from EK!! They are so cute!!
For the group discussion, the four people who were selected, I think one of them talked too much and tried to be the leader of the team, sometime againts other people opinion but she can pass it so I really do not the criteria they want. I think it is up to the interviewers' decision. For the dressing, there are several style of clothes the applicants wear but most of us wear the black suit , white shirt, black skirt. For me, I wear brown suit and skirt and cream color cloth inside.
I think the most important thing is the first impression because the interviewers will look you all time especially when you come to measure your weight and height .. (maybe just in Thailand because the interviewers can get closest to you at that moment). Therefore, I think everything is up to the interviewers and the criterias set by EK. I think the best thing we should do is be ourselves, smile, respect to everyone and ...... your destiny

do your best!!
