Well I may have been accused of being MOB or even worse hanging from his a**, but it’s now more than obvious that I am not the only one who enjoys working for this company.
Yes some of the decisions and roster changes can be a complete pain in the back side but this is the nature of the night freight / adhoc charter beast. Again I say if you don't like this type of work why stay?
However any downside is far out weighed by working with a great bunch of pilots, ops staff and engineers who work hard, play hard, laugh hard and yes sometimes fight and argue hard.
And no Engineer this is not third rate airline where inexperience pilots get their first break and mediocre ones shine. These guys fly in the worst weather Britain and Europe can throw at them, at night, in spring, summer, autumn and winter regularly down to minimums without an automatic in sight.
And as for MOB, well lets put it this way. I only have to get an aircraft around on time. He has the unenviable task of keeping 150+ people employed so they can pay there mortgages in an extremely cut throat and volatile industry which makes the odd roster change seem very insignificant !!!
