Basically they use sex, age, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, systolic blood pressure to get a number. You can lower the scores by having blood pressure under 113 and having low total cholesterol and high LDL cholesterol. You need to make sure the risk factor score stays under 14. This becomes very hard as you get older! Particularly if you are male. Not sure this would be accepted if females were scored higher than males purely on age.
