I was working in Queensland a few years ago at a small ultralight/GA airfield. At the time there were two ringers who'd just bought a strorch and where learning to fly.
With no more than 50 hours each and the equivalent to a private licence they were set to trade in the horses for air mustering.
The morning they left the cloud base was around 500 - 1000 ft with ts in the area. Equiped with non aviation map and the old Garmin GPS they were off through the thick of it.
To everyones great amusment the boys are apprently are still mustering, now using a different aircraft due to their bent storch.
It just shows any cowboy can fly a plane, some just show degrees of professionalism.
