Easyjet struggled with London-Moscow. What can Wizzair do to persuade people to fly on a LCC between London and St Petersburg and pay a price to make the flights profitable ? Not saying it can't happen, but having seen a flight from Lappeenranta to Bergamo mid-week with a load factor of almost 100%, it does seem the more obvious solution. FR have recently opened a route from Lappeenranta to Berlin; the huge sand sculpture in Lappeenranta in summer 2018 made a big play of FR operating flights; I can only imagine that the local people are rather pleased to have this provided significant quantities of tax money aren't going as some sort of marketing payment to FR
I endorse the comment from racedo - Lappeenranta is a lovely place in summer, especially if, as happened for a long period of time in summer 2018, one has the good fortune to be there when it's sunny and 30 deg C
