Why would that be? Virgin Atlantic currently is a longhaul product only. British Airways' short haul product is buy on board, whereas its long-haul product is not. Not sure why Virgin Atlantic could not do the same product differentiation.
it’s just a thought as other airlines in the group ie Kl/AF still offer complimentary service on short haul
