Vale Bob "Bobo" Greenwood AFC former DCA Regional Manager Vic/Tas region
Heard that former DCA Vic/Tas Regional manager Bob Greenwood died in February this year. He was 83. Graduating as a Sergeant Pilot from RAAF Point Cook circa 1955, Bob was posted to Air Armaments School at East Sale, Victoria, where he flew Mustangs, Lincolns and Wirraways.
He rose in rank during his time in the RAAF with one posting being the Commanding Officer of a C130 Hercules squadron based at Richmond NSW. Bob was awarded the Air Force Cross during his service with the RAAF. He left the RAAF circa 1990 with the rank of Group Captain and joined the Vic/Tas Region of the Department of Civil Aviation until his retirement. He lived in the Melbourne suburb of Williamtown.
