It’s been a few years but I always thought the controllers had the sexier jobs. Flight Ops, a relatively new creation in the late noughties, seemed to be full of odd-ball youngsters nobody else wanted (OK, a generalisation) and commissioned SNCOs who spent most of their time clearing-up after the aforementioned youngsters.
