Third rate airlines, in my opinion, are those that start-up and subsequently go out of business within a relatively short period of time.
As per my previous post, Emerald, previously Janes Aviation, has proved to be successful and has been going significantly longer, without a change of ownership, than the majority of current UK airlines.
