Who cannot like the sound of a flat whoop, whoop, whoop from way out in the distance gradually getting louder and louder and turning into a deeper whoop, whoop, whoop sound on arrival.
Remember awaiting the arrival of a Bell 214 to lift one of our machines that had had an "unfortunate event". We were at one end of a very long (60 plus mile) valley and there was cloud cover at about 2000 feet. We heard it twenty two minutes before it arrived!
