One issue is that Thomas Cook Group cannot afford to fund the airline for a necessary fleet rollover for their very tired A330's. The airline cannot soldier on without significant investment. A buyer for the airline may be hard to find, although the asset-strippers are always ready and waiting.

I think the bigger issue are the even more tired 767-300s and the oddball 757-300s operated by Condor
