The AD came about after several accidents where the exhaust fittings had come loose, leaking hot exhaust gas and igniting a magnesium and avgas fueled fire which would burn right through the wing spar in no time.
You would be very unlucky to have that happen to both engines/wings at the same time.

Though I guess having it happen even on one side means your luck has just run out ...
