I used to, with many others, post on the
Gaining An R.A.F Pilots Brevet In WW II thread in the military section. My posts bore NO relation to the Second World War and I would describe my flying in China and Australia. This was accepted by the mods because the readers were interested in it.
There must be a different class of mods.
