Simple cheap technology exists to stop this stuff dead in it's tracks....but that won't be done....why?....hmmm....why?.....

In addition to what
no-one said, to cope with a weak signal or interference, most models (increasingly, even the cheap ones) have loss-of-link functionality in some form, and some don't need a link at all when working to a pre-programmed plan.
There is technology, but it's not as simple as non-specific jamming.
