It certainly was interesting flying into somewhere like Out Skerries at night using gooseneck flares on their 381m runway.
The Hotel Track to the Shetland Basin went overhead the Skerries, I used to love seeing that spot, eventually I took a Piper Tri-Pacer in there about 18 years ago. The Out Skerries was up for sale around then, If I'd had the money..........................
