Take a closer look at the main gear attachment to the fuselage. At least to me the structure appears to be a steel weldment cross tube outside of moldline with no provisions for retraction. The wheel appears to be an industrial unit like the tie down rings. Finally, when have you ever seen retractable landing gear painted black.
