You're referring to pilot duty time. I wasn't. I was referring to the fact that, even though the Broome crew may not yet have been tasked, they and the aircraft have been allocated to the job. Those resources are thus
tied up - thus somewhat defeating the purpose of having the jet.
That 3-5 hour preliminary tie up does not happen when the aircraft comes from Perth/Jandakot.
